The harm of static electricity
Static electricity can be said to be ubiquitous in our daily life. There are high electrostatic voltages on and around our bodies, thousands of volts or even tens of thousands of volts. At the end of 1969, in less than a month, the static electricity generated during the washing of the three 200,000-ton supertankers of the Netherlands, Norway, and the United Kingdom caused successive explosions.
